Financial services giants Apcopay and CoinPayments have formed a strategic relationship by integrating Shiba Inu (SHIB).
This development will make SHIB transfers available worldwide. The main goal of this partnership is to make Shiba Inu a significant player in digital transfers.
Apcopay, CoinPayments Partnership Expands Shiba Inu Reach
CoinPayments, a well-known Bitcoin payment gateway, said it would integrate with Apcopay, a global payment tool that handles payments from start to finish. With this integration, CoinPayments gets added to Apcopay’s payment services. This lets customers use different cryptocurrencies for their financial activities.
Even though CoinPayments accepts more than 2,300 cryptocurrencies, it has only picked 175 tokens for payments. Shiba Inu (SHIB), the dog-themed meme coin, has become a cryptocurrency that CoinPayments customers can now use to purchase worldwide. Because of this partnership, Shiba Inu can now be used by over 1,200 businesses on the Apcopay website in 25 different countries.
Apcopay’s Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), Daniel Buttigieg, praised the relationship and called CoinPayments a leading global cryptocurrency payment service. Marc Bourgeois, Senior Manager of Business Development at CoinPayments, was also excited about the partnership and emphasized Apcopay’s ability to help more people use Bitcoin for payments.
Shiba Inu has reached a milestone with adding CoinPayments to Apcopay. Users of both systems can now easily make SHIB purchases. This move might lead to increased use of cryptocurrencies, mainly since their fame has recently grown. Shiba Inu has been accepted as a payment method by more than ten well-known companies, such as Binance.
According to the data from IntoTheBlock SHIB usage has sped up a lot, with a noticeable rise in new users in 2024. The highest acceptance rate for the cryptocurrency was 39.27% on Feb. 17. Almost two out of every five active SHIB addresses were new to the network. This increase in new users shows how popular and in-demand Shiba Inu is becoming worldwide.
