The slowdown in the cryptocurrency markets continued this Wednesday morning. The capitalization of the global cryptocurrency market has fallen by 2.50% over the past 24 hours. Data from CoinMarketCap, a cryptocurrency data aggregator, showed that the global crypto market capitalization is $1.12 trillion, below Tuesday’s level. Bitcoin, Ethereum and BNB
Cryptocurrency heavyweights Bitcoin, Ethereum and BNB have also fallen in the last 24 hours.
Bitcoin is trading at $23,451, down 2.22%. The Ethereum network’s Ether token also showed a 2.29% downtrend. The cryptocurrency is trading at $1,847. Cryptocurrency Binance Smart Chain BNB fell by 3.89%.
stablecoins
Stablecoin USDT Tether showed a positive change in its value by 0.01% over the past 24 hours, maintaining its peg to $1. The USDC stablecoin rose 0.02% to ensure it remains pegged to $1.
BinanceUSD fell 0.06%. The stablecoin is trading at $0.0994 while the DAI stablecoin fell 0.04% but maintained its $1 peg.
Level 1 Blockchain Tokens
Cryptocurrency tokens embedded in Tier 1 blockchain networks such as Ripple, Cardano, Solana and others have also fallen in the last 24 hours.
The Cardano ADA token fell 3.46%. Solana was 6.40 behind. AVAX Avalanche fell 5.95%. Ripple XRP fell 2.60%.
Polkadot and polygon
DOT of the Polkadot blockchain fell 5.34%, while MATIC Polygon fell 5.59%.
Memcoins
Memcoins like Dogecoin and Shiba Inu have also been hit in the last 24 hours. Dogecoin fell by 4.47%. Shiba Inu crashed at 7.27%.
In general, over the past 24 hours, most of the top cryptocurrency tokens have lost their positions.
