According to several sources, SHIB token holders can now pay their Netflix membership and shop on Amazon using any of the SHIB ecosystem’s tokens. Furthermore, the FCFPay Visa card, which is accepted by Amazon and Netflix, allows for payment with SHIB, bone, and leash tokens.
FCFPay began accepting SHIB, BONE, and LEASH token payments three months ago, as previously reported. Following the listing, over 5 million online retailers in 195 countries began accepting these three SHIB ecosystem tokens as payment methods.
FCFPay, a Canada-based crypto payment gateway, recently announced that its crypto card customers could subscribe to numerous award-winning documentaries, TV series, movies, and animes on Netflix and pay for products and services on Amazon. Furthermore, FCFPay indicated that payments would be successful provided users had enough crypto tokens to cover the payments they wanted to make.
SHIB’s popularity is growing by the day. A recent collaboration with a leading digital fundraising platform, The Giving Back, enabled the Virunga National Park (Africa’s oldest national park) to begin taking SHIB tokens as donations. Previously, BitPay and Germany-based SAP SE (an enterprise app software provider) collaborated to allow SAP SE employees to receive a portion of their compensation in SHIB tokens.
Meanwhile, data from Etherscan.io show that the 7th largest SHIB Whale purchased 96.74 billion SHIB tokens in a single transaction. The data also revealed that this top Shiba Inu Whale has been buying massive amounts of SHIB tokens in the last week.
In addition, BitPay recently teamed with BlueSnap (a worldwide payments provider) to enable BlueSnap to begin taking SHIB payments. Earlier last week, CertiK (a crypto security platform) named Shiba Inu as the second safest crypto project, with Polygon ranked first.
Between last Thursday and today, the top SHIB investor added more than 322 billion SHIB tokens (worth about $31.9 million) to his wallet in nine transactions. Last Thursday, The Whale completed his largest SHIB token purchase to date, purchasing 131.63 billion SHIB tokens for approximately $1.4 million in a single transaction.
With the addition of these additional holdings, this SHIB Whale now has 15.63 trillion SHIB tokens (worth approximately $155 million). Meanwhile, WhaleStats, a well-known blockchain analytics firm, reported on Twitter that the top 500 Ethereum Whales still control the most SHIB tokens.
